![]() ![]() Thank you in advance for any one who tries to support this feature ideea and thanks to Valve for listening to the community even as silent as they are, we know you care.Counter-Strike Global Offensive players from all around the world use all kinds of different tactics and commands to get better at their game. The fact is that this would be a great addition to the crosshair customization as it coud help the people who have a outlined crosshair for its tactical usage have a better access to making it more distinguishable on certain areas while not obstructing visibility in other ways.Ĭl_crosshair_outlinealpha_default 1/0 (1 for matching transparency & 0 for customized)Ĭl_crosshair_outlinealpha *0-256* (value between 0 & 256 just as in current crosshair alpha)Ĭl_crosshair_outlinecolor 0 1 2 3 4 5 ( 0 - black from 1-5 cyan, purple, dark blue, yellow, red 6 - custom color)Ĭl_crosshair_outlinecolor_r *0-256* (for red intensity)Ĭl_crosshair_outlinecolor_g *0-256* (for green intensity)Ĭl_crosshair_outlinecolor_b *0-256* (for blue intensity) (Because dark colors are much more easy to see when they're surrounded by bright colors and easier to ignore with complementing background and vice-versa, logic!)Īnd also having two colors completely contrasting each other makes for a all-around better crosshair so there wouldn't be a need to make any adjustments before entering a certain map because the difference between the colors would be easily observable with whatever position it'd be pointed at. This way I could have a bright opaque crosshair with a slightly darker semi-transparent contrasting color so that when I woud look up whenever an enemy player is above and a bright background would be surrounding him I'd still be able to track him with my crosshair because of my outline still being easily observable, but also not being too much of a bother in dark spots due to it's transparency. But transparency would be set by default to match the current alpha value of the crosshair and black by default. and make the transparecy of the outline a separate value. I would really appreciate if they made it so that the color and transparency/alpha values of the outline would be customizable so that we could be able to have combinations that are well contrasted such as orange crosshair & blue outline or red & green etc. So per say because on Cobblestone there is quite a bit of green and vegetation so I would rather use cl_crosshaircolor 0 or 2 (red or yellow) in the console, but for a map that's full of brown-gray I'd use a crosshair color like cl_crosshaircolor 4 or 1 (cyan or bright green) and I found out that I can use a outline command (cl_crosshair_drawoutline 0) and found out it'd be pretty useful to have to add some contrast to bright colors and dark ones (such as looking at a dark spot and looking at the sky), but it only limits me to having a bright crosshair color and a unchangeable black outline and I can only edit the thickness of that outline (cl_crosshair_outlinethickness *value* in case you want the command). I have a general problem when it comes to having a good crosshair color, I usually change my crosshair color to whatever suits the map better. ![]()
